It looks like one of the most highly anticipated bouts in UFC history is up in the air, as according to reports, Jose Aldo has incurred an injury, less than three weeks out from a July 11th bout with Conor McGregor.

The Brazilian outlet Combate is reporting that Aldo fractured a rib while training, and that the fighter has started treatments for the injury. Sources have also confirmed to MMA Fighting.com that Aldo has been hurt, and that the featherweight champ has not decided yet if he’s going to withdraw from the bout.

The UFC has made no official announcement regarding the reports.

The bout is scheduled to headline UFC 189, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 11th. The UFC has reportedly set company records, in terms of how much it has spent on promoting the fight.
