Both Jose Aldo and Alexander Volkanovski expressed an interest in fighting each other recently, and now it’s being reported the match-up has been signed.

The featherweight fight will reportedly be part of the May 4th, UFC 237 card in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Farah Hannoun first reported that the bout was being targeted for that event, and ESPN is reporting sources have confirmed the fight’s been added to UFC 237.

Aldo (28-4) has rebounded from his losses to featherweight champ Max Holloway, as the legendary fighter’s coming off stoppage wins over Jeremy Stephens and Renato “Moicano”.

Volkanovski (19-1) has worked his way into the title shot mix by going 6-0 to date in the Octagon. Most recently, at UFC 232 in December, he finished perennial contender, Chad Mendes.
