Kelvin Gastelum

The UFC has yet to officially announce any events for the much-discussed ‘Fight Island’. But, it’s being reported a fight between Jack Hermansson and Kelvin Gastelum is in the works and that it could take place at the island event.

ESPN is reporting that both Gastelum and Hermansson have verbally agreed to fight, and that the bout is targeted for July 18th, likely at ‘Fight Island’.

Gastelum (15-5, 1 NC) is coming off consecutive decision losses to Darren Till and Israel Adesanya. The former welterweight is 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

Hermansson (20-5), meanwhile, was stopped by Jared Cannonier in his last bout, which took place in September. Before that, he had won four straight.
