It remains to be seen what kind of disciplinary action the Nevada State Athletic Commission imposes on Khabib Nurmagomedov. But, it appears the UFC champ’s father intends to be “hard” on his son.

Moments after Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 229, he jumped the Octagon fence and went after the latter’s teammate, Dillon Danis. The move kicked off an ugly brawl, which has dominated headlines since.

Nurmagomedov’s father, Abdulmanap, recently spoke with Ren.TV.  While doing so, he had this to say about Khabib’s actions, as well as his teammates during the brawl (via Google Translate)

“Probably all the same for Khabib, the toughest sanctions are my attitude. I will be very hard on this. I warned him. For me, discipline comes first. You do whatever you want in the Octagon, outside – this is the border of civilians, where there are children, women, strangers. I do not even blame Tukhogov, who jumped and fought on his hands. Abubakar, Rizvana. Fists walked through McGregor … This fight went inside the Octagon.”

After UFC 229, Khabib reportedly acknowledged that his father was going to be upset with him, as result of the incident. With the win on Saturday, Nurmagomedov extended his overall record to 27-0.
