Since Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 229 earlier this month, there’s been extensive speculation as to whether an immediate rematch will be tabled. But, in a recent interview Nurmagomedov’s uncle gave, the lightweight champ is reportedly not interested in facing McGregor again.

Nurmagomedov’s uncle, Alex Nurmagomedov, recently spoke with Sports Express Ru. Based off a translation of the interview, via Google Translate, Nurmagomedov reported that Khabib has been offered a rematch with McGregor for $15 million. But, the Russian fighter is apparently not interested in that bout, and instead, Khabib hopes to fight Tony Ferguson before retiring.

“He will not fight him for any money. Yes, I know that they are offering him a rematch. From the start, they offered him 15 million, if he agrees. But Habib said no. Let Conor stand in line, let him fight with others. But Habib wants to fight Ferguson, and then finish his career.”

In recent weeks, there has been talk that Nurmagomedov could be planning on retiring in the not too distant future. The 30 year-old star moved his record to 27-0 with the win over McGregor.
