Ray Borg will face one of Bellator’s top fighters in his promotional debut, as it’s being reported the former UFC contender will take on former champ, Kyoji Horiguchi.

Borg (16-5) is headed to Bellator after winning three straight fights, following his UFC exit in 2020. In Borg’s last outing, at Eagle FC 46 in March, 2022, he defeated Ricky Bandejas by split decision.

Recently, ESPN reported that Bellator was looking at having Borg fight Horiguchi, and MMA Mania has confirmed the fight will take place on April 22nd. The flyweight bout will be part of Bellator 295, which is taking place in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Horiguchi (31-5) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Hiromasa Ougikubo at Rizin’s New Year’s Eve card.
