Following Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s brutal knockout loss to Roy Nelson, yesterday at UFC Fight Night 39, there’s been widespread discussion as to whether it will be the final fight of his legendary career. According to Nogueira’s manager, however, the 37 year-old heavyweight may want to battle Frank Mir one more time, before hanging up the gloves.

Nogueira fought Mir in December, 2011, and appeared to be en route to victory, but was caught by the feared submission artist with a Kimura. In addition, Nogueira didn’t tap to the technique, and ended up having his arm broken.

After UFC FN 39, one of Nogueira’s managers Jorge Guimaraes, told MMA Fighting.com that his client was talking about facing Mir even before he was booked to fight Nelson. Guimares also said that Nogueira “smiled”, when asked about fighting Mir again, after he was KO’d on Friday.

Guimares also relayed that Nogueira went to the hospital after the defeat, because he hit his head “very hard” on the ground and was feeling “a little dizzy”.

“Minotauro” has yet to publicly comment on his future.
