Report: Matt Riddle Cut By UFC After Testing Positive For Marijuana Again
By FCF Staff
The UFC has reportedly let another fighter go, however, this time it’s due to a failed drug test. According to multiple reports Matt Riddle has been released by the promotion as a result of a positive test for marijuana, following his split decision win over Che Mills at UFC on FUEL TV 7 on February 16th.
Last July, Riddle’s (8-3, 1 NC) victory over Chris Clements at UFC 149 was overturned after the welterweight also tested positive for marijuana. The 27 year-old fighter has a license for medical marijuana use in the state of Nevada, however, Riddle is supposed to stop using the drug prior to a bout.
News of Riddle’s dismissal was first reported by MMA Junkie.
All of the TUF 7 veteran’s professional bouts to date have taken place in the Octagon.
