A compelling featherweight fight between Yair Rodriguez and Max Holloway has been pushed back, as it’s being reported the latter has incurred an injury.

The featherweights were scheduled to fight on a July 17 UFC card. But, sources have informed ESPN that Holloway has incurred an undisclosed injury, and as a result, the bout has been postponed.

The former champ is coming off a decision win over Calvin Kattar in January, which followed Holloway’s (22-6) back-to-back, decision losses to champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Rodriguez (13-2, 1 NC), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since October 2019 when he outscored Jeremy Stephens for the decision win.

Holloway – Rodriguez was slated to be the headline for the July 17 card.
