Report: Michael Bisping Fighting Demian Maia Next

Maia

By FCF Staff

It appears as though Michael Bisping won’t have to wait long to fight again, following his one sided stoppage of fellow Jason “Mayhem” Miller, as according to multiple reports the middleweight will fight Demian Maia, January 28th.

In what is being called “a triple-header on FOX”, the Maia, Bisping bout will be part of the upcoming UFC on FOX 2 card in Chicago, which will also feature Chael Sonnen vs. Mark Munoz and Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis.

A two hour segment from the card, which will be hosted by Chicago’s United Center, will be broadcast on the FOX network.

Maia (15-3) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jorge Santiago in October, after losing by UD to Mark Munoz in June. The renowned BJJ competitor is 3-2 in his last five fights, with his only other loss during that stretch coming against middleweight champ Anderson Silva.

With the win over Miller, Bisping (22-3) has now won four straight, since he lost by unanimous decision to Wanderlei Silva at UFC 110 in February, 2010.
