Report: Michael Johnson Likely New Opponent For Artem Lobov
By FCF Staff
Following Zubaira Tukhugov’s reported involvement in the post-fight brawl at UFC 229, it appears as though Michael Johnson will likely replace the featherweight and face Artem Lobov on October 27th.
Tukhugov is a teammate of Khabib Nurmagmedov, and as a result of allegedly going after Conor McGregor during the aforementioned brawl, Dana White has said the UFC will cut the fighter. According to a new report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Johnson is currently the front runner to face Lobov at the UFC Fight Night card, which will take place in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Recently Lobov, who is a teammate of McGregor, asked the UFC to not remove Lobov from the fight.
Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith are scheduled to fight in the headliner of UFC Moncton.
