After taking a loss in her flyweight debut, it’s being reported that former UFC champ, Miesha Tate, is returning to bantamweight.

Tate (19-9) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Lauren Murphy last July, in a fight that was contested in the flyweight division. The defeat followed Tate’s decision loss to Ketlen Vieira in November, 2021.

Dama de Ferro MMA recently reported that Tate is set to fight bantamweight Mayra Bueno Silva at a June 3rd, UFC Fight Night. MMA Junkie has also confirmed the matchup with a source.

No venue or location has been announced for the June 3rd card.

Silva (10-2) competed last month and submitted Lina Lansberg with a second-round, knee bar. Silva is 3-1-1 in her last UFC bouts, while Tate has gone 1-4.
