Two PRIDE vets have apparently agreed to a rematch, as Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic will reportedly fight Aleksander Emelianeko at a Legend card this November, in Russia. The heavyweights fought for the first time in 2004 at PRIDE “Final Conflict” card, and “Cro Cop” stopped the bout with his one his feared head kicks minutes in.

News of the rematch is being reported by Vale Tudo.ru. No details regarding the specific date or venue were disclosed.

Emelianenko (22-6) is coming off  a first round, stoppage win over Bob Sapp in May, after being submitted by Jeff Monson under the M-1 banner last November. The 31 year-old heavyweight is 4-1 in his last five bouts.

“Cro Cop” (28-10-2) hasn’t fought since New Year’s Eve, when he submitted Shinichi Suzukawa while competing on a Inok Bom-Ba-Ye card. The fight marked the first time the experienced kickboxer had competed in a MMA fight, following his stoppage loss to Roy Nelson at UFC 137 in October, 2011.

The 38 year-old has gone 2-3 in his last five MMA bouts. In March, Filipovic won K-1’s World Grand Prix in his native Croatia.
