It looks like rising star Muhammad Mokaev has landed a bout with a top-ten-ranked flyweight, as it’s being reported he’ll battle Tim Elliott next.

The 22-year-old Mokaev (10-0) has gone 4-0 in the UFC to date, with his last victory coming by third-round submission over Jafel Filho in March. Recently, Marcel Dorff reported that Mokaev will face Elliott at UFC 294, which is taking place on October 21st in Abu Dhabi.

MMA Junkie has also confirmed the match-up with sources.

The 36-year-old Elliott (19-12-1), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Victor Altamirano last month.

The former title challenger has gone 4-1 in his last 5 fights, and is currently ranked #10 in the UFC’s flyweight division. Mokaev is currently ranked #11.
