It looks like Nate Diaz’s long awaited Octagon return is booked, as it’s being reported that the star will fight Dustin Poirier later this year at UFC 230.

The L.A. Times was the first to report the match-up.

Diaz (19-11) will be competing for the first time since August, 2016, when he dropped a decision to Conor McGregor at UFC 202. Earlier that same year, at UFC 196 in March, Diaz submitted the former lightweight and featherweight champ.

Poirier (24-5) just competed this past weekend at UFC on FOX 30, and stopped former champ Eddie Alvarez. The lightweight contender has now won three straight fights.

UFC 230 will take place on November 3rd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
