Having not fought now in nearly two years, it’s being reported that Nate Diaz is interested in competing at the UFC’s August 4th card in Los Angeles.

The outspoken fighter hasn’t competed since August, 2016, when he lost his rematch to Conor McGregor via decision. According to a new report from ESPN, sources say Diaz and the UFC are discussing the possibility of him fighting at UFC 227.

A follow up report from MMA Fighting has relayed that Diaz has expressed an interest in facing one of the promotion’s top lightweights, aside from champion Khabib Nurmagomedov or McGregor.

Not long ago, Diaz noted via social media that he was hoping to fight again sometime this summer.
