Carlos Prates has an opportunity to move into the top 15 of the UFC’s welterweight division, as it’s being reported he will fight longtime contender, Neil Magny, next.

Prates and Magny have reportedly been booked to fight in the headliner of UFC Vegas 100, which is taking place on November 9th. Multiple sources have confirmed the match-up with MMA Fighting.com.

Prates (20-6) has been rising up the welterweight division thanks to a 12-fight winning streak. In his last outing, this past August, he stopped Li Jingliang in round two.

Magny (29-12) is coming off a first-round, stoppage loss to Michael Morales that same month and has gone 2-3 in his last 5 fights. Magny is currently ranked #15 in the UFC’s welterweight division.

The November 9th card will be hosted by the UFC Apex Facility.
