Not long after Nick Diaz raised the issue of steroids at today’s UFC 158 press conference in Montreal, but didn’t directly accuse Georges St. Pierre of using them, the controversial fighter took another step on a Canadian radio show.

While appearing on the Toronto based Fan 590 station, Diaz told hosts Tim Micallef and Sid Seixeiro: “I believe that he’s on plenty of steroids and I don’t think they’ve tested him.” Diaz made the statements after he was asked whether he was insinuating at today’s presser that St. Pierre uses steroids.

When asked if he stood by the comments, Diaz responded “Sure, why not? Lance Armstrong is on steroids. It was really a ridiculous thing that he was on steroids, as far as he was concerned.”

An animated Diaz made the comments after sharing his disapproval, once more, with how he’s been portrayed as “a villain” heading into UFC.

Diaz also went on to say that “I don’t think Georges is a bad guy”, but that he “doesn’t need to lie to the fans” to promote a fight, “or avoid the fight” to win.

UFC 158 will be hosted by Montreal’s Bell Centre Saturday night.
