Following his arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence last weekend, Nick Diaz’s agent has released a statement, which includes an apology from the fighter.

Recently it was reported that not only was Diaz charged with several counts on September 6th, including suspicion of DUI, but that the fighter was allegedly involved in a DUI incident last November.

In a report from FOX Sports.com about Diaz’s legal troubles, the fighter’s agent, Lloyd Pierson, was quoted saying:

“Nick and I have discussed the current charges. He is very sorry he has disappointed his fans, friends and family. Nick wants to take the opportunity to thank all his fans who have immediately reached out to him for unconditional support.”

The 31 year-old fighter is reportedly scheduled to appear in court on September 25th.

Diaz is currently scheduled to fight Anderson Silva at UFC 183 on January 31st, 2015.
