Currently Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are scheduled to wear 10-ounce gloves in their August 26th contest, but that could change.

Typically, 10-ounce gloves are used for fights that are fought at 154 pounds, which is the weight class that is for the Mayweather – McGregor bout. But, according to a report from Sky Sports (via Boxing Scene.com), Mayweather and McGregor are going to request that 8-ounce gloves be utilized for the fight. As a result, the Nevada State Athletic Commission will consider the request and will vote on it, August 16th.

Mayweather – McGregor will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
