As the MMA world continues to wait and see whether Anderson Silva plans to fight again, following his horrific injury at UFC 168, Pedro Rizzo is reporting the legend intends to return to the cage.

The veteran fighter and striking coach relayed to MMAFighting.com recently that Silva told him ‘I will be back’, while Rizzo visited him at the hospital.  Rizzo also noted, however, that Silva had just broke his leg and had a lot to consider.

Rizzo, who has been coaching Silva for a few years now, added that if the 38 year-old legend decides to fight again he’ll be there to “help him.”

Silva broke his leg in round two on December 28th, as Chris Weidman checked a leg kick he was attempting. The bout was immediately stopped and Weidman was awarded the TKO win.

The middleweight champion is expected to fight Vitor Belfort next.

Doctors believe Silva will need between three and six months to heal from his injury, before he can begin rehabbing his leg and train again.
