By FCF Staff
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is dealing with another failed drug test, as according to multiple reports, lightweight Piotr Hallman has tested positive for a banned substance following his fight at UFC Fight Night 51.
According to the Brazilian Athletic Commission, Hallmann tested positive for the anabolic steroid drostanolone, after he dropped a split decision loss to Gleison Tibau on September 13th.
As a result, the Polish fighter has been suspended for nine months and will have to pass a drug test before competing again.
Hallman and Tibau were awarded “Fight of the Night” and $50,000 each for the memorable bout. The bonus will likely be withdrawn. Hallmann was coming off a submission win over Yves Edwards heading into the fight.
UFC FN 51 went down in Brasilia, Brazil, and saw Andrei Arlovski stop Antonio Silva in the main event.
