It looks as though Tyron Woodley finally has a date for the title shot he’s been campaigning for, as the UFC’s targeting July 30th for a bout between him and welterweight champ, Robbie Lawler.

During the latest episode of “UFC Tonight”, UFC correspondent Megan Olivi reported that Lawler – Woodley is in the works for UFC 201. The card will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

Woodley (15-3) was told he’d receive a title shot last October, after Johny Hendricks had to pull out of a booked bout due to weight-cutting issues. The welterweight hasn’t fought now since January, 2015, when he earned a split decision win over Kelvin Gastelum.

Lawler (27-10) is coming off a decision win over Carlos Condit this past January, and has recorded two title defenses now.
