Report: Robby Peralta Fighting Mike Lullo at Sept. 17th Fight Night

By FCF Staff

Strikeforce veteran Robert Peralta will make his UFC debut, September 17th against Mike Lullo, according to the featherweight’s manager Jeff Clark. The news was posted on Clark’s Twitter account.

UFC Fight Night 25 will be hosted by the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans and will be broadcast on Spike. The UFC has yet to confirm the bout.

Peralta (14-3), who has won seven straight fights, is stepping in for the reportedly injured Mackens Semerzier. Most recently Peralta worked his way to a split decision win over DREAM featherweight champ Hiroyuki Takaya, while competing on Strikeforce’s “Diaz vs. Daley” card in April.

Lullo (8-3) made his UFC debut last November and was stopped by Edson Barboza in the third round. Prior to the loss Lullo had won eight straight fights.

The upcoming September 17th Fight Night card will be headlined by a bout between welterweight contenders Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger.
