Report: Rory MacDonald Fighting Che Mills at UFC 145
By FCF Staff
After being pulled from this past Saturday’s UFC 140 card due to injury, welterweight prospect Rory MacDonald will reportedly return to action at UFC 145 in March, and will take on Che Mills.
The news comes from MacDonald himself, who announced the match-up on the “UFC Central” program, which airs on the Canadian network Sportsnet. According to the show’s Twitter account, the bout will take place March 24th in Montreal, Canada.
The UFC has not made any official announcement regarding the fight.
MacDonald (12-1) hasn’t fought since August, when he stopped Mike Pyle in the first round at UFC 133, after earning a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 129 in April. The 22 year-old fighter had been scheduled to fight Brian Ebersole at UFC 140, until an aforementioned injury withdrew him from the fight.
Mills (14-4) also went 2-0 in 2011, as the 29 year-old fighter scored victories over Marcio Cesar and more recently Chris Cope, who he stopped in the first round at UFC 138 in November.
