Another violent death has taken place within Natal’s MMA community, as according to a new report, a second fighter this week has been shot and killed in the Brazilian city.

Earlier in the week reports surfaced that Kimura Nova Uniao’s Luiz de Franca was murdered outside a Natal gym, and that the main suspect for the crime is a police lieutenant. Authorities are still investigating the motive.

Now, MMA Fighting.com is reporting that Guilherme Matos Rodrigues was shot and killed Tuesday, while he was in a Natal juice store.  The Brazilian outlet Globo is also reporting that Rodrigues was murdered.

Rodrigues was a member of the “Pitbull” Brothers team, and Patricio Freire told MMA Fighting that he “can’t imagine why” the fighter was targeted.

Freire also relayed that the police have no suspects at this juncture.
