Although Sergio Pettis defeated Matt Hobar at UFC 181, and pushed his Octagon record to 3-1 in the process, the bantamweight says he’s thinking about moving to 125.

Pettis worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Hobar on Saturday night, and also collected a “Fight of the Night” bonus in the process. After the event, however, the 21 year-old relayed the following (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“It was a good performance, but I think I might go down to 125 after this,” Pettis said. “These guys are a lot bigger than me (at bantamweight). I’ve been thinking about it for about a year, and I’m going to do a practice cut to see how it goes.”

The Roufusport fighter has fought at flyweight in the past, but he was signed by the UFC last year, when he was competing at bantamweight. Since joining the UFC, Pettis has also recorded victories over Will Campuzano and Yaotzin Meza, but was submitted by Alex Caceres this past January.

Pettis currently holds a record of 12-1.
