The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to build the line-up for its August 22nd event, as it’s being reported that Takashi Sato will take on Daniel Rodriguez.

The welterweight match-up hasn’t been officially announced yet by the promotion; however, sources have told MMA Junkie that the fight is planned.

Sato (16-3) is coming off a quick, stoppage win over Jason Witt last month to move his UFC record to 2-1.

Rodriguez (12-1), meanwhile, has gone 2-0 to date in the UFC, as he’s defeated Tim Means and Gabriel Green in 2020.

The August 22nd card is expected to take place at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas.
