The injury woes of Tarec Saffiedine are continuing, as the former Strikeforce welterweight champ is reporting he likely will not be able to fight Rick Story this weekend, as scheduled.

The welterweights are booked to fight at UFC Fight Night 88 this Sunday in Las Vegas. Saffiedine, however, recently told MMA Fighting.com that he’s suffered a knee injury, and that he “likely” will not be able to compete. The Belgian fighter’s status will be determined his physicians.

The UFC is reportedly searching for a replacement opponent for Story.

Saffiedine has fought just once since 2014 due to injuries. In January he worked his way to a UD win over Jake Ellenberger.
