After going through 2018 without competing, former flyweight challenger Tim Elliott is reportedly returning to the Octagon for a bout with Deiveson Figueiredo.

Elliott (15-8-) hasn’t fought since December, 2017, when he submitted Mark De La Rosa at UFC 219. According to an initial report from Combate and a follow-up report with MMA Junkie, Elliott will battle Figueiredo at the UFC’s October 12th card.

No date and venue for the event has been announced.

Figueiredo (16-1), meanwhile, is coming off an impressive, decision win over Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 240 last month.

The reported Elliott – Figueiredo bout has not been officially announced by the UFC.
