Report: Tim Means – Sean Strickland Targeted For UFC 202
By FCF Staff
It looks as though UFC 202 has picked up another, compelling welterweight fight, as according to a new report Tim Means and Sean Strickland have agreed to battle at the August 20th event.
News of the planned match-up is being reported by the Albuquerque Journal.
Means (25-7-1) hasn’t fought since December, when he KO’d John Howard. Means tested positive for a banned substance (Ostarine) earlier this year, but since then, USADA concluded the welterweight ingested the substance, unknowingly, via a tainted supplement. As a result, the noted finisher was only suspended, retroactively, for six months.
Strickland (18-1) is coming off a split decision win over fellow welterweight prospect, Tom Breese. The welterweight has won three straight.
UFC 202 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In the headliner, Conor McGregor will rematch Nate Diaz, in another welterweight contest.
