It looks as though Tito Ortiz’s career will go interrupted, as a result of a driving incident earlier this year, as the fighter will receive no jail time after pleading no contest to driving under the influence.

According to multiple reports, Ortiz received 36 months probation and was ordered to undergo an alcohol educational program by a Los Angeles County judge on Wednesday. TMZ.com was the first to report the news. In addition, the 39 year-old fighter was fined an undisclosed amount for the DUI charge.

The former UFC champ was arrested in January after he crashed his Porsche in Los Angeles. Ortiz was reportedly returning from an event at the Playboy Mansion.

Ortiz is scheduled to fight Bellator middleweight champ Alexander Shlemenko on May 17th, at the promotion’s first pay-per-view event.
