Report: Tony Ferguson – Anthony Pettis Bout Targeted For UFC 229
By FCF Staff
Having spent much of 2018 on the sidelines due to injury, it’s being reported that former lightweight interim champ, Tony Ferguson, will face Anthony Pettis at UFC 229.
Ferguson, who won the interim belt last October by submitting Kevin Lee, was forced out of a fight this past April with Khabib Nurmagomedov. Ferguson injured his knee just days out from UFC 223. Recently MMA Junkie reported that plans were in motion for Ferguson and Pettis to fight on October 6th, and the fighters have since tweeted out these comments.
