Report: TV Sports Executive Ken Hershman Leaves Showtime, Headed to HBO

In the midst of speculation as to whether the Showtime will renew its broadcasting agreement with Strikeforce for 2012, news has surfaced today that the network’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sports, Ken Hershman, has stepped down from his position.
The move was reported by Broadcasting and Cable, and according to the story, sources have informed the outlet that Hershman is headed to HBO to replace former president Ross Greenburg, who recently left the company.
FCF was unable to immediately reach Showtime for a comment and HBO has made no announcement about Hershman’s reported arrival.
Showtime is set to broadcast M-1 Global’s M-1 Challenge XXVII card from Phoenix, Friday night, and will also carry Strikeforce’s upcoming November 18th and December 17th events,
UFC President Dana White recently went on record stating that negotiations with Showtime in regards to its partnership with Strikeforce parent company Zuffa were ongoing.
