Recently there’s been talk about Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns fighting, and now it’s being reported the bout is set for May 30th.

Burns (18-3) has quickly risen the welterweight ranks by winning three straight fights in the division. Most recently, the former lightweight quickly stopped perennial contender, Demian Maia.

ESPN is reporting that sources have confirmed Burns and Woodley have agreed to fight at a UFC Fight Night card on May 30th. Burns has also confirmed the match-up.

The location and venue for the event has yet to be determined.

Woodley (19-4-1) has yet to compete since he lost the welterweight title to Kamaru Usman in March, 2019.
