Colby Covington has reportedly lost out to Kamaru Usman, in terms of who is going to face UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley next.

After weeks of speculation as to when and who Woodley is going to battle next, it’s being reported that he will face Usman at UFC 235, March 2nd. ESPN is reporting multiple sources have confirmed the bout has been signed for the upcoming card in Las Vegas.

Woodley (19-3-1) is coming off a submission win over Darren Till in September, which was his fourth bout as the promotion’s 170 champ.

Usman (14-1) worked his way to a dominant, decision victory over Rafael dos Anjos in November, which was his 9th straight victory in the Octagon.

UFC 235 is expected to also feature light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones taking on Anthony Smith.
