Tom Duquesnoy

By FCF Staff

The preliminary card that aired on FX last weekend for UFC 216, was one of the least watched prelim cards for the promotion in recent years.

UFC 216 took place on October 7th, and the prelim bouts aired against both nationally televised college football games and the MLB playoffs. According to a report from MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer, the preliminary card averaged 653,000 viewers for FX, which made it the second least watched, prelim card to air on FX in nearly three years.

The prelims’ feature bout saw Cody Stamann earn a split decision over Thomas Duquesnoy.

Bellator 184, which aired the night before on Spike, reportedly averaged just 437,000 viewers. The card was also competing with collegiate football and the MLB playoffs.
