It looks like former UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis and former WSOF champ, Justin Gaethje, could be fighting in the first quarter of 2019.

It’s being reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that the UFC is hoping to book Pettis – Gaethje for early 2019. No date has been determined and the fight is reportedly not signed.

Gaethje (19-2) ended a two-fight losing skid in August by knocking out James Vick in the opening round.

Pettis (21-8) is coming off a TKO loss (via corner stoppage) to Tony Ferguson in October, after he submitted Michael Chiesa this past July. Pettis is 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.
