The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to work on its early, 2019 schedule, and according to reports, the promotion’s hoping to book Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Jeremy Stephens.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani recently reported that the UFC is working on booking Magomedsharipov – Stephens for its March 2nd card in Las Vegas. MMA Fighting is also reporting that talks are ongoing to add that fight to UFC 235.

Magomedsharipov (16-1) is coming off a kneebar victory over Brandon Davis in September, which was his fourth victory in the UFC.

Stephens (28-15), meanwhile, hasn’t competed since July when he was stopped by former featherweight champ, Jose Aldo. Stephens has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
