One of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s greatest champions and most popular fighters will be working for the rising promotion Bellator soon, as according to multiple reports, Randy “The Natural” Couture has signed a multi-year agreement with Spike TV. As part of the retired fighter’s comprehensive deal with the network, Couture will assume coaching duties in Bellator’s upcoming reality show.

News of Couture’s deal with Spike was reported first by Sports Illustrated. Although, neither the network or Bellator has made any official announcement regarding the reported deal, Spike has announced plans for a February 5th press conference in Los Angeles.

In addition to coaching on Bellator’s reality show, Couture is expected to assume other broadcasting and MMA related responsibilities for Spike. Both Bellator and Spike are owned by Viacom.

The signing of Couture could prove to be key addition for Bellator, considering the legendary fighter’s popularity and previous exposure on Spike with the UFC. Couture served as a coach in the UFC’s “Ultimate Fighter” program during its run on the network, and in addition, the veteran’s fights have been replayed on Spike numerous times over the years.
