Report: UFC on FOX 3 Ratings Drop Significantly

After drawing an impressive 5.7 million viewers to its UFC on FOX debut in November, courtesy of a heavyweight championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, the ratings for the UFC’s latest event on the network have reportedly dropped significantly.

Despite a compelling lightweight main event bout between contenders Nate Diaz and Jim Miller, Saturday’s UFC on FOX 3 card in East Rutherford, New Jersey, drew a reported average of 2.4 million viewers.

The figures were attributed to an “industry source” in a report from MMA Junkie.

While the third card to air on FOX did not feature a title fight, it also included a notable welterweight bout between the rising Johny Hendricks and former number one contender Josh Koscheck.

The number is several million less that the UFC on FOX debut in November, as well as the promotion’s second FOX card in January, which reportedly drew 4.7 million.

The aforementioned UFC on FOX 1 card is the current record holder for the top rated MMA event in U.S. history.

The UFC on FOX 4 card is set for August 4th in Los Angeles, and will feature former Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard taking on Brian Stann.
