Report: UFC Receives Two, $4 Billion Range Bids For Entire Promotion
By FCF Staff
Although Dana White has denied that the UFC is up for sale, a new report says that the promotion could be sold for around $4 billion soon.
Last month, it was reported that several groups had submitted bids to acquire the UFC, but White proceeded to shoot down the story. The UFC President did say that the promotion might look to expand, through bringing in a business partner, but denied that the company was for sale in it’s entirety.
ESPN has recently reported, however, that WME-IMG, in conjunction with Dalian Wanda Group, and China Media Capital, have submitted bids to purchase the UFC for around $4.1 billion. The bids are to acquire the entire company.
White reportedly had no comment regarding the story when approached by ESPN.
The UFC’s majority owners are currently Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, and both White and Flash Entertainment own smaller stakes of the company.
