Report: UFC Signs Now Former RIZIN Champ, Manel Kape
By FCF Staff
The UFC has added another former RIZIN champ to its roster, as it’s being reported that bantamweight Manel Kape has signed with the promotion.
Kape (15-4) won RIZIN’s bantamweight title in December by stopping Kai Asakura in the second round. Combate is reporting that the 26-year-old has signed with the UFC and MMA Fighting has also reported Kape is UFC bound.
The AKA Thailand fighter is currently riding a three-fight wining streak and Kape is 4-1 in his last 5 bouts. Kape went 6-3 during his run with RIZIN.
Earlier this year, the UFC signed Jiri Prochazka, who held RIZIN’s light-heavyweight title at the time.
