Following his recent win over Augusto Sakai, Jairzinho Rozenstruik reported he wants to fight a top contender, regardless of their style. It looks like the noted striker is getting his wish, as it’s being reported Rozenstruik and Curtis Blaydes have agreed to fight.

Rozenstruik (12-2) finished Sakai in the opening round of UFC Vegas 28 earlier this month, which marked the first time he had competed, since he lost via decision to Ciryl Gane in February.

According to MMA Fighting, multiple sources are reporting Rozenstruik and Blaydes have verbally agreed to fight on September 25 at UFC 266.

Blaydes (14-3, 1 NC) hasn’t fought since February, when he was knocked out by Derrick Lewis. Prior to the defeat, the powerful wrestler had won four straight.

Rozenstruik is currently ranked #6 in the UFC’s heavyweight division and Blaydes is #4.

UFC 266, which does not have a location announced yet, is expected to feature light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz taking on Glover Teixeira.
