Jeremy Stephens will continue to fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the coming months, as the featherweight has reportedly reached an agreement with authorities, which will see assault and burglary charges against him dropped.

Stephens was charged due to his alleged involvement in an Iowa incident in 2011, which later prompted his arrest on the same day he was supposed to fight Yves Edwards at UFC on FX 5.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, Stephens has plead guilty to lesser charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and has received a 15 day jail sentence. The fighter had already served that amount of time.

Stephens and his representatives have maintained his innocence since he was charged.

“Lil Heathen” is coming off a unanimous decision win over Estevan Payan at UFC 160, after dropping consecutive bouts to Anthony Pettis, Donald Cerrone and Yves Edwards.
