It’s being reported that former UFC fighter, Phil Baroni, has been arrested in Mexico for allegedly killing his girlfriend.

According to a report from Tribuna de la Bahia, the 46-year-old Baroni was arrested in San Pancho, after his girlfriend was found dead. Baroni reportedly claimed to authorities that his girlfriend struck her head after he pushed her into the shower, following an argument, in which she told him she had had an affair.

Baroni also claimed he decided to contact authorities when his girlfriend became unresponsive, after helping her into bed.

Authorities reported, however, that Baroni’s girlfriend appeared to have been struck multiple times.

Baroni, who made his pro debut in 2000, hasn’t fought in a MMA bout since 2019.
