It looks like the UFC is close to finalizing a pivotal bantamweight fight, as it’s being reported that Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen have agreed to fight.

The bantamweight contenders have verbally agreed to battle on October, in a five-round, main event, according to reports from Combate and MMA Junkie.

Sandhagen (12-2) recently had a seven-fight winning streak snapped, as he was quickly submitted by Aljamain Sterling in June.

Moraes (23-6), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since December when he recorded a split decision win over Jose Aldo. The former WSOF champ is 4-1 in his last 5 bouts.

No location or venue has been announced yet for the October 10th event.
