Report: UFC’s Dave Sholller Says Report of Promotion’s Sale is “False”
By FCF Staff
Following a report on Monday that UFC ownership has accepted a multi-billion dollar bid for the promotion, a company executive has said the report is “false”.
Yesterday FloCombat reported that ZUFFA has accepted a $4.2 billion bid from WME-IMG, the Dalian Wanda Group, The Kraft Group and Tencent Holdings for the UFC. The story did add that the entire company has not been officially sold.
In a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, UFC Vice President of Public Relations Dave Sholler said:
“FloCombat.com’s report indicating that the UFC has been sold is false. We’ve communicated that to our staff members tonight via an internal memo.”
Earlier this month, ESPN also reported that the UFC had received two, multi-billion dollar bids to acquire the promotion.
