Report: UFC’s Working on Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall

Anderson Silva

By FCF Staff

Anderson Silva has been pushing to fight at UFC 198 in his hometown of Curitiba, and it looks like the legend will get his wish.

The promotion is reportedly working on a bout between Silva and Uriah Hall for the May 14th card. Sherdog.com was first to report the news and sources have also told MMA Fighting.com that the UFC is hoping to finalize the fight. The company has not made any official announcement regarding the match-up.

Silva (33-7) is coming off a tightly contested, decision loss to Michael Bisping last month. The former middleweight champ is 1-3, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 bouts.

Hall (12-6) is also looking to get back on track, as he was decisioned by Robert Whittaker in his last fight, which took place in November. The highlight reel striker is 3-2 in his last 5 contests.

UFC 198 will be hosted by the Arena da Baixada in Curitiaba, and will feature heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum taking on Stipe Miocic in the headliner.
