Umar Nurmagomedov, the younger cousin of UFC lightweight champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov, reportedly has his Octagon debut reset.

Nurmagomedov was originally scheduled to make his UFC debut against Hunter Azure in April. But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bout never happened.

Now Mo Hasani is reporting that Nurmagomedov will face Nathaniel Wood on July 25th. The fight will be part of the UFC’s upcoming cards on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. MMA Junkie has also confirmed with a source that the fight is set.

Nurmagomedov (12-0), who is a former Gorilla Fighting Championship bantamweight champ, hasn’t fought since November when he submitted Braian Gonzalez.

Wood (16-4) is looking to get back on track, as the former Cage Warriors bantamweight champ was stopped by John Dodson in February.

The July 25th, UFC event will be headlined by a fight between former middleweight champ Robert Whittaker and Darren Till.
